We know that any increase in your outgoings is unwelcome and can feel worrying. If you think a rent increase may affect your ability to make payments, please contact us as soon as possible.
We’ve put together a guide to help you understand our rent review, and where to go if you need support.
Tenants and Shared Owners
Changes to your rent and service charges will depend on factors like your tenancy type and agreement with us. For Shared Owners, it will depend on your lease and the unpurchased equity in the property.
For more information, including how we calculate rent for tenants, read our rent review FAQs.
If you receive Universal Credit, please log in to your UC account and report a change of circumstances to confirm your rent. It is important you do this on the date your rent changes.
Leaseholders
We review service charges in accordance with your tenancy agreement.
We calculate service charges annually using the previous financial year’s spend and review these charges mid year to ensure accuracy.
This process helps maintain fairness and transparency, with any adjustments based on actual costs incurred.
For more information on service charges and how these are calculated, visit the service charges page.
