At Mount Green, we are committed to creating safe, welcoming neighbourhoods that residents can be proud to call home. Part of this commitment includes maintaining and protecting the greenery that enriches our communities, brings a sense of connection to nature, and reduces our overall environmental impact/ footprint.
Recently, at Hawthorn Close, we faced a challenge when a neighbouring development required the removal of three trees and one shrub to build a road. While this project wasn’t managed by Mount Green, we were determined to minimise the environmental impact and preserve as much greenery as possible.
Michelle Smith, our estates services officer, and Holly Messenger, our Assistant Director of Growth & Development collaborated closely with Groundscapes to replant two of the trees elsewhere on our grounds.
Although replanting trees always comes with its challenges, they are thriving in their new locations and we are hopeful they will continue to enhance the community for years to come. This effort aligns with Mount Green’s high standards for grounds maintenance to ensure neighbourhoods remain well-planted, tidy, and safe for everyone to enjoy. By going the extra mile, we aim to make a positive impact in all that we do.

Collaborating with residents is an essential part of ensuring this work is as effective as it can be. This is why we invite all residents to participate in our regular estate inspections. The dates for estate inspections will be shared on noticeboards and social media channels or can be found out by asking your Neighbourhood Officer.
