How can I be involved? You can get involved in any of the following ways:
Mount Green has up to two resident Board member posts ensuring residents are an integral part of our decision making process. This allows residents to truly lead Mount Green’s strategic vision and priorities. Support and training for these positions are provided.
The Scrutiny Panel check that services are being delivered to our agreed standards and challenge us where this is not happening. They review our performance and play a key role in influecing the work we do at Mount Green. The panel conducts crucial reviews on many elements of our services which have been a key driver for change and improvements.
RIG is a group of residents who help shape and improve our services, improve communication and develop and review our policies through consultation. This is done in a variety of ways depending on your interests and preferred communication options and can include activities such as:
- Focus groups
- Website polls
- Email/phone surveys
- Mystery shopping
We want to have as much feedback as possible and therefore we aim to make it easy for you to opt for the opportunities that you're passionate about and those that fit in with your other commitments.
By being an Estate Champion you will feed back to your Neighbourhood Manager on the condition of the estate, including monitoring cleaning and gardening contractors and, where possible, attending estate inspections.
We provide a programme of resident involvement at a local level to suit the individual needs of our communities. This may include some or all of the following:
- Neighbourhood surgeries
- Neighbourhood events
- Neighbourhood meetings
- Estate inspections
If you have any other ideas for local activities, please speak to your Neighbourhood Officer or Independent Living Officer. We will advertise any opportunities within your local community and we will provide feedback to all residents outlining actions and outcomes following any activities.
If you do not want to be formally involved, you can still be involved with shaping Mount Green’s services. There are many ways to get involved including:
- Visiting our website
- Taking part in surveys and consultation
- Making a complaint if we get things wrong
- Letting us know when we do things right
- Through day-to-day contact with our staff
- Feeding back following an interaction with our services
