Following the Government’s latest announcement and with a third national lockdown starting Wednesday 6th January, we would like to reassure all residents that Mount Green has plans in place to ensure all essential services are maintained, and that resident safety remains our top priority.
To help prevent and minimise the spread of the virus, please wash your hands regularly, wear a face covering and maintain a social distance of at least two metres where possible and keep up to date with the latest Government advice.
Repairs and Maintenance Services
At the moment we are continuing to run a full repairs service with our contractors and staff wearing full PPE (personal protective equipment), as well as washing and sanitising hands and keeping a social distance. Communal cleaning and grounds maintenance services will all continue as normal in line with Government guidelines.
We are required by law to complete annual gas safety inspections so please provide access to Robert Heath Heating to complete this . The gas engineers will be following strict Covid safety guidelines and will come prepared in full PPE. If you are shielding or have concerns regarding these inspections please inform us as soon as possible before your designated appointment.
It is essential that you let us know if anyone in your household has any symptoms or is self-isolating so our team can wear the correct protective equipment or rearrange your appointment as necessary.
Independent Living Services
Our Independent Living Officers will continue to visit schemes for fire panel testing, health and safety checks, and emergency support or housing management work that cannot be carried out from home. Any welfare checks, support plan reviews and welfare benefit reviews will be carried out over the phone. If you are an Independent Living resident, we will update you on any changes to our services via newsletter which will be delivered to your scheme.
Neighbourhood Officers will only be undertaking essential home visits e.g. where there is a health & safety concern. During the visit they will observe the social distancing rules and have been provided with the appropriate PPE to enable them to work safely in your home. Officers will continue to be fully accessible on the phone and online during normal office hours, by calling 01372 379 555 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will be contacting all general needs residents over 70 and any residents with a known vulnerability to check they are supported and able to access services during the lockdown. We encourage all residents to be good neighbours, therefore if you have any concerns about the welfare or safety of a neighbour you believe to be vulnerable, please contact us.
Estate inspections on our larger estates will continue, but residents will be temporarily suspended from attending until the lock down restrictions come to an end. Neighbourhood Officers will continue to work closely with the Estate Representatives, cleaning and grounds maintenance contractors to address any issues as they arise in all other areas. If you are an Estate Representative, our Neighbourhood Officers will be in touch with you through the lockdown.

Income and Welfare Benefit Services
