Mount Green has launched its Neighbourhood Management Strategy, with the aim to improve everyday life for residents by identifying what makes a good neighbourhood and bringing those aspects together to create strong, thriving communities.
The strategy was established in collaboration with Mount Green’s Resident Committee Group and in consultation with its Estate Representatives and Neighbourhood Officers. This has ensured a robust and well-rounded approach with maximum input from those at the heart of the communities the strategy effects.
Mount Green also spoke with residents in 2024 to asked them what they could do to keep its neighbourhoods protected and well maintained, while simultaneously growing relationships with local communities.
The strategy lays out three key themes; Maintenance of Shared Spaces, Local Co-operation and Safer Neighbourhoods, and explains how Mount Green will deliver on those areas, working alongside residents, partners and local groups to make changes and improvements for communities.
Sarah Crabb, Assistant Director of Housing Services at Mount Green, said: “The start of the new year is the perfect time to announce our new Neighbourhood Management Strategy. This is just an additional way of consulting with residents to be able to provide tailored and localised services.
“The strategy encourages residents to communicate with us on what they’d like to see in their communities, and we’ve worked with them, along with members of the Mount Green team and external partners, to identify what actions we can take to make this happen.
“We’re looking forward to fostering positive relationships throughout 2025 with residents through the rollout of our carefully crafted Neighbourhood Management Strategy.”
The effectiveness of the strategy will be measured using the annual Tenant Satisfaction Measures survey, recording resident’s satisfaction and using it to plan any future changes or improvements.
