Mount Green 2022 Stock Condition Survey

Further to our letter sent to residents in August 2022 regarding Planned Works, we are pleased to confirm that we are about to commence our housing stock condition survey. This is an important step towards informing residents what planned works are going to be undertaken and when.

Most Housing Associations undertake a Stock Condition Survey periodically. Mount Greens approach is to undertake a Stock Condition Survey every 5 years.

To do this, we have to appoint an external firm of Surveyors and on this occasion, we have employed Savills.

In total we need to survey 1376 Homes and 135 Blocks.

Savills will need to access to your home and they will be surveying and recording the age and condition of certain elements with your home such as;

  • Kitchen
  • Bathroom
  • Windows
  • Doors
  • Boiler
  • Storage heaters
  • Electrical Consumer Unit and condition of electrical circuits (visual only)
  • Roof
  • External Walls
  • Loft Insulation
  • Fences
  • Health and Safety Hazards
  • In some cases an assessment of Energy Performance may also be undertaken

The above list is not exhaustive

Savills will write to you on behalf of Mount Green and will advise when they will be attending and the survey should take approximately 20-30 minutes.

The surveyor will be able to show you their personal identification and will be well presented and professional at all times.

The surveyor will not be able to give you any advice, guidance or information regarding the outcome of the survey or any timescales for items requiring replacement.

Once the survey has been completed the data will be issued to Mount Green for validation and we will then use this data to develop short, medium and long terms planned works programmes which we will share with residents.

We anticipate, subject to access, that the stock condition survey will be completed by January 2023 and would like to thank you in advance for your co-operation in providing access to Savills to undertake this highly important survey programme.
