Neighbourhood reps from Mount Green

Resident voice and representation matters.

Creating opportunities for residents to engage in discussions that affect their neighbourhood is a priority for Mount Green, which is why we’re relaunching our Neighbourhood Reps programme.

Where there is a Mount Green community, we want to recruit a Neighbourhood Rep. Residents previously involved with the programme were called Estate Reps, but following resident feedback we’ve reviewed the role and changed the title.

We aim to listen to the views of as many residents as possible, especially in our largest estates and independent living schemes.

While some of our existing Reps have confirmed that they would like to take on the new role, we’re currently looking for more volunteers to ensure we have a presence across all our neighbourhoods. With this in mind we would like to encourage interested residents who live in the following areas to put themselves forward:

  • Graham House
  • St John’s Close
  • Gibson Place
  • Highwood
  • Wheatley Court
  • Church Close
  • Downside Orchard
  • Hawkridge
  • Mount View
  • Mole Valley Place
  • Barnes Wallis Close
  • Hopfields Close

If you’re a Mount Green resident who wants to make a positive impact on your community or enjoys listening and capturing feedback to make informed improvements, we would like to hear from you.

Resident Robert is a neighbourhood rep and has shared his story over on our blog – read here.

Alternatively, if you know another Mount Green resident that you think would be a brilliant Neighbourhood Rep, please share this opportunity with them.

You can learn more about the role and what it involves by reading our Neighbourhood Rep Information Pack.

If you have any questions about the role, please contact getinvolved@mountgreen.org.uk or speak to your Neighbourhood Officer.
