Families receiving Christmas gifts
Mount Green is bringing smiles to families’ faces in the run up to Christmas, with deliveries of gifts from Stripey Stork.
For the third year, we have teamed up with Stripey Stork for their Santa Stork project, making sure that families struggling financially don’t have to miss out on giving great quality gifts to their children.
In total, 31 families that are experiencing financial hardship will receive gifts, and deliveries are underway to make sure they are all made by the big day.
Christine Wytiahlowsky, Housing Services Manager at Mount Green, said: “The gifts are going down brilliantly and we’re really grateful to Stripey Stork and all those supporting this fantastic campaign.
“The gifts mean one less thing to think or worry about at what can be a stressful time for those with limited financial resources. We hope all the children love their gifts when the day arrives and wish all our residents a very happy Christmas.”
This year, Stripey Stork teamed up with Truly Giving, providing gifts tailored to a child’s interests, such as football or a particular TV programme.
Christine continued: “Thanks to this extra partnership, we were able to specify the age, gender and interests of children up to the age of 18, who were then matched with a donor to purchase a gift meeting their wishes. This makes the gifts even more special and helps with any special requests from Santa!”
