Covid19: Latest Services Update

Following the Government’s latest announcement and with a second lockdown having started on Thursday 5th November, we would like to reassure all residents that Mount Green has plans in place to ensure essential services are maintained, and that resident and staff safety remains our top priority.

To help prevent and minimise the spread of the virus, please wash your hands regularly, wear a face covering and maintain a social distance of at least two metres where possible and keep up to date with the latest Government advice.

Repairs and Maintenance Services

At the moment we are continuing to run a full repairs service and taking precautions with our contractors and staff wearing full PPE (personal protective equipment), as well as washing and sanitising hands and keeping a social distance. Gas safety, communal cleaning and grounds maintenance services will all continue as normal in line with Government guidelines.

It is essential that you let us know if anyone in your household has any symptoms or is self-isolating so our team can wear the correct protective equipment or rearrange your appointment as necessary.

Independent Living Services

Our Independent Living Officers will continue to visit schemes for fire panel testing, health and safety checks, and emergency support or housing management work that cannot be carried out from home. Any welfare checks, support plan reviews and welfare benefit reviews will be carried out over the phone. If you are an Independent Living resident, we will update you on any changes to our services via newsletter which will be delivered to your scheme.

Neighbourhood Services

Our Neighbourhood Officers will visit larger estates once a month until lockdown ends. They will inspect external and internal communal areas and take any actions required to mitigate health and safety risks. If you are an Estate Representative, our Neighbourhood Officers will be in touch with you through the lockdown.

Unfortunately home visits will not take place, but you are welcome to contact our Neighbourhood Officers via email or telephone and Zoom video calls can be set up on request.

Income and Welfare Benefit Services

Any scheduled home visits will be suspended during the lockdown and you will now be offered a telephone call or a Zoom video call instead. If you need to contact our Welfare Benefit Service, you can do here.
