At Mount Green, we love celebrating the joy of reading – it provides an escape from the everyday, as well as helping to improve wellbeing.
The National Literacy Trust recently reported that almost one million children don’t have a single book of their own and we want to help minimise those figures by helping a child buy a new book.
In line with World Book Day, we’re inviting our residents’ children to get creative in our World Book Day Drawing Competition!
We want to see your child’s artistic skills shine by drawing a picture of their favourite book character. Whether it’s a mischievous cat in a hat, a brave young wizard, or a beloved fairytale hero, we can’t wait to see their creations.
How to Enter:
Simply send us a photo of your child’s drawing to mountgreen@see-media.co.uk with their name and age included, so we can celebrate on our socials if they win! The competition will close on World Book Day (6th March) at 5pm, so be sure to send in your child’s masterpiece before then!
There will be a winning entry, followed by two runners up. All of these will receive a high street voucher to put towards a brand-new book of their choice, inspiring even more reading adventures.

Ts & Cs: This competition is only open to Mount Green residents aged 12 and under. Parent or guardian must give permission and submit the entry on the child’s behalf. Winner will be notified by email and their resident status will be verified. Entries close on 6th March at 5pm.
