Resident voices are at the heart of what we do at Mount Green. This enables us to prioritise resident’s needs and constantly become better at meeting them. Nothing exemplifies this better than the work we do with our Resident Committee Group (RCG).
To share some of the amazing work that our RCG does, here’s just some of what was on the agenda at their recent meeting:
- The Head of Maintenance who ran the Direct Labour Organisation at Greenoak Housing Association attended to explain how an in-house maintenance service runs. The RCG are exploring how this type of service could work at Mount Green and what the benefits of this service could be for our residents.
- The RCG considered how their work scrutinising Mount Green’s services fits into the wider structure since merging with Stonewater. This included learning how Stonewater’s scrutiny groups are set up and exploring new ways of working to ensure RCG continue to scrutinise and influence Mount Green’s services within the wider Stonewater group.
- The chair of Stonewater’s Customer Experience Panel joined the meeting as a guest to explain the work of the panel and how it brings about change based on customer feedback. She invited members to observe a future meeting.
- The RCG discussed the recent rent letters, the upcoming resident portal and future plans to extend the times that residents can ring Mount Green, beyond 9am-5pm.
